Gymnastics is the perfect way for your child to build strength, flexibility and balance. Not only that, but they will build confidence and have a blast on the uneven bars, balance beam and vault.
Tumbling v. Gymnastics
Not sure what the difference is between tumbling and gymnastics? Tumbling consists of compulsory and power-driven floor skills such as cartwheels, round-offs and back-handsprings, while gymnastics uses a variety of apparatuses such as balance beam, uneven bars and vault. If your child is interested in gymnastics, we highly recommend taking tumbling and gymnastics simultaneously so they can develop the tumbling skills that will one day be required to advance on gymnastics equipment. Each class runs 45 minutes per week, and multi-class discounts are offered.
Our Equipment
Our Artistic Gymnastics program focuses on use of balance beam, uneven bars, and vault. Occasionally, we will practice elements of floor routine in a beginner class, but this is often taught in our tumbling classes. A basic knowledge of floor tumbling is highly recommended as a foundation prior to beginning artistic gymnastics classes or in conjunction with tumbling classes.
