Martin Warren & Maple Grove After-School Care

Twisters is full for after-school and collaboration care for MARTIN WARREN and MAPLE GROVE unless the parent is able to provide transportation. Morning-school transportation is still available!

Summer Day Camp Pricing

Twisters offers the following options for Summer Child Care for grades those going into K-7th from the last day of the 2022-2023 school year to the first day of the 2023-2024 school year. Dates will be provided once released by the school districts.

Full-Day, Full-Summer Camp: Camp opens at 6 a.m. and closes at 6 p.m. Parents may drop off or pick up their children at any time within those hours. This camp option requires full payment prior to May 15, 2023, and is non-refundable. This camp option is $1,225 and includes 3 age-appropriate specialty camps and one tumbling class per child. For those choosing to pay weekly, the cost is $125/week.

Half-Day, Full-Summer Camp: This option is not available at this time.

Drop-In Day Camp: Due to limited spots this year, drop-in options are available pending availability at $35/day. A 24-hour advance notice and payment is required. A medical form and waiver on file are required.

Dates: Summer day camp will run from the last day of the 2022-2023 school year to the first day of the 2023-2024 school year. Official dates will be released when the district releases them.

6-8:30 a.m. Quiet time, games, coloring, and movie

8:30-10:15 a.m. Outdoor play

10:15-10:30 a.m. Restroom break and wash hands

10:30-11 a.m. Rest and relax

11-12 p.m. Open Gym

1-3:15 p.m. Stations and learning activities

3:15-3:30 p.m. Restroom break and wash hands

3:30-4 p.m. Snack

4-6 p.m. Indoor play, quiet times, games, coloring, and movie

Available in 2023:

Field Trips: All activities will take place at Twisters or within the surrounding community. Any activities that are off-property will require a permission slip. A few field trips will be taken throughout the summer and transportation will be provided by Twisters. These field trips will cost up to $6. For those choosing not to participate, alternative programming will be available at Twisters.

Meals: Students may bring their own lunch or purchase a bag lunch for $2.50 each day. A bag lunch will include a sandwich, fruit or vegetable, chips, and a drink. Meal punch passes will be available for purchase.

Kids Camp Policies

General information:

Before-School Care opens at 6:00 a.m. Due to staffing requirements, parents may not drop off children prior to that time.
Children must be picked up by 6 p.m. Fees will apply for children not picked up by 6 p.m.
Names must be marked on all personal items. Twisters is NOT responsible for lost, broken or stolen items.
In an effort to better suit children during activities and playtime, some activities may require us to divide children by age group. Siblings who would like to stay together would go with the younger of the two groups.

Camp Fees:

Before-School Care is $35/week. After-school care is $50/week. Collaboration-day only care is $25/week. Those needing all of the above will pay a total of $70/week per child. Parents selecting “Combo Care” may add $10/week for a tumbling, ninja or gymnastics class provided that they are enrolled monthly. This is a $10 discount off the normal class price.
Discounts will not be given for missed days due to illness or vacation.
Care is not included for Federal Holidays or days that school is out. Additional care may be provided on those days through Twisters for an additional fee. Parents will not be charged for care over winter break or spring break when there are no school days within the week.
A 14-day notice is required in order to cancel before/after school care.
Automatic charges will occur at approximately 7 a.m. the Friday morning prior to the start of the next week.
- Example: If you are enrolled for the week of Aug. 31st, your weekly fee will be automatically charged to the card on file the morning of Aug. 28th.
Parents will be notified by noon if the card on file is unable to be charged. In order to reserve the child’s spot for the following week, payment will need to be completed by 5 p.m. the Friday prior to the start of the week.
Payments must be up to date in order for a child to participate.
For weekly payments, cash or card on file is accepted. Cash must be paid by close of business on Thursday so your card is not automatically charged.

Snacks and Meals:

Breakfast will be provided for any campers who arrive 20 minutes before the bus pick-up time.
Snacks will be served within 20 minutes of bus drop-off time.
Students have the option to bring their own snacks and/or place money on their snack bar account for special treats.
Water will be provided with all snacks and throughout the day.

Dress Code:

Tennis shoes are recommended for daily activities. Sandals and flip flops are discouraged, but may be brought on outdoor water days.
All clothing should be comfortable and weather-appropriate. Please remember to bring a jacket when the temperature is below 50 degrees so children may play outside.
All parents are asked to provide one bottle of spray sunscreen (SPF 50+ and waterproof) on the first day of summer day camp.

Discipline:

Appropriate behavior and language are expected at Twisters.
Rules will be clearly stated by counselors. Our goal is to always use redirection and positive reinforcement. At times, time outs and quiet time may be required for children who need some additional space and calming.

Release of Participants:

All children must be signed in and out by a parent or authorized pick-up contact each day.
Only those who have been designated to pick up a child are allowed to pick up.
If someone else is picking up your child, we will ask that you complete an “Add a Contact” form in advance.

Medications:

A child may not receive medication of any kind unless it is required by a doctor.
Parents/guardians must place medicine in a Ziploc bag with child’s name, dosage and frequency. Medication must be provided in the original container with pharmacy/doctor instructions and label.

Illness:

Please inform the director immediately if your child develops any of the following symptoms:
- Fever
- Cough
- Redness of the eyes or itchy eyes
- Sore throat or hoarse voice
Students with these symptoms will not be allowed to attend kids camp until they are 24 hours free of symptoms or have a doctor’s note.
Additional hand-sanitizing measures and social distancing – as possible – will be monitored and enforced throughout the school year.

Outdoor Information:

Please send one bottle of spray sunscreen with your child on the first day for outdoor play time. (SPF 50 or above)
- We will provide liquid sunscreen for faces.
- The bottles will be shared with everyone. If your child has sensitive skin or requires a higher SPF, please attach a note and label the bottle with your child’s name.
At Twisters, we have 11 acres. All activities will take place on Twisters property.

After school care is available for $50/week.

Collaboration Day Care

Child care will be provided on all collaboration days, teacher-in service days and most federal holidays (to exclude Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Years Eve, New Years Day and Memorial Day). During collaboration care, organized activities, free play, and outdoor play (when possible) will be offered. Snacks will be provided for all collaboration days. For full-day child care, breakfast (for those who arrive before 8 a.m.) a morning snack, lunch, and an afternoon snack will be provided. Children may also bring their own snacks and lunches. (Please do not bring anything with peanuts.)

Collaboration Days are $25/day.

Teacher’s In-Service Days are $35/day.

Full-week care over holiday breaks will vary.

Summer Camp Policies

Summer Camp opens at 6 a.m.
Children must be picked up by 6 p.m.
Half-Day Campers will opt for mornings (6 a.m. to 12 p.m.) or afternoons (12 p.m. to 6 p.m.) This option will become available Feb. 28 if spots are still available.
Names must be marked on all personal items. Twisters is NOT responsible for lost, broken or stolen items.
In an effort to better suit children during activities and playtime, we will be dividing campers into age groups. Siblings who would like to stay together would go with the younger of the two groups.
Only school-age children are permitted for childcare (including those going into kindergarten for the 2023-2024 school year).

Camp Fees:

If paid in full, camp for a full-day camper is $1,225. The paid-in-full discount for a half-day camper is $850. (Pay-in-full covers care from the last day of school until the first day of school.)
If paid week-to-week, a full-day camper is $125/wk, and a half-day camper is $90/wk.

Caffeinated beverages and candy are not permitted for purchase during Kids Camp hours. Healthy options will be available at the front desk.
Parents may place restrictions on their child’s snack accounts by notifying our front desk or Kids Camp staff.
Water will be available with all meals and throughout the day.
Parents may add credit to their child’s lunch and snack account by notifying our Kids Camp staff.
A t-shirt is included with all pay-in-full registrations. T-Shirts are required for field trips and may be purchased at the front desk for part-time campers.

Dress Code:

Outfits will be sent home with parents on the final day of Kids Camp. Clothing not picked up by Sept. 1 will be donated to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Johnson County.

Late Registration Teams

First off, if you’re new to the area, welcome! We are a veteran-owned gym and we realize you don’t always get to pick when you’re moving. As a result, we offer opportunities to join our teams throughout the year.

Athletes without experience: For those who are new to cheerleading, we want to welcome you to our wonderful sport! Our half-year novice program is perfect for athletes without previous experience who are wanting to start later in the season. Our half-year season runs November to March and includes one local competition. We highly recommend also taking a tumbling class throughout your half-year season if you want to cheer competitively on a full-year team the following season. You can register for a half-year program by using the link provided in the packet. You can obtain the packet by providing your information on this page.

Athletes with previous experience: Depending on your previous experience and current skills, it’s possible for us to add you to a current team. As you already know, scoring gets a little tricky as does travel, but some teams still have openings. To join an elite team mid-season athletes would need very strong tumbling and stunting skills. Openings are available on most elite teams for athletes who can max out the skill level. For those who cannot max the level, it might still be possible to join a lower level team or prep team this season. Please call the gym to set up an appointment with our all star director so you can look at options!

Alternatively, our pre-team and full team for competitive tumbling is able to take athletes throughout the year. This is a wonderful option for those who are looking to strengthen their skills and enjoy a competitive atmosphere until team placements.

When are team placements?

Our annual team placements take place in May each year with skills clinics in April leading up to the clinic. We strongly recommend tumbling classes while you’re waiting for placements to begin. All athletes make a team, but prep and elite teams require some tumbling skills, and these can be obtained through our regular tumbling classes!

Recreational v. Company Dance

Recreational v. Company Hip Hop: Our recreational hip hop is a fantastic way to learn dance skills and build your child’s creativity! Our once-per-week class focuses on the fundamentals of hip hop technique, while teaching fun tricks that will challenge your beginner dancer! The best part – there are no prerequisites! This class is a fun way to learn dance in a low-pressure environment with a coach who knows how to make it fun! Our Company Hip Hop Program allows athletes to compete and perform at various competitions throughout the year. They learn routine(s) that focus on technique and performance and offer regional and national travel for competitions. All choreography is done in-house by our staff, many of whom are known in the industry for their innovation and creativity!

Nerf Wars

Intro to Gymnastics Clinic

This clinic will work on flexibility, core strength and skills on the uneven bars, balance beam, and vault. This is perfect for beginners wanting to tryout gymnastics, but all skill levels are welcome to participate! Pre-registration required.

Fall Clinic

During this clinic athletes will practice falling in a safe environment where they can learn to minimize their injuries.

Perfect Your Tumbling Clinic

This is the perfect class to go over the fundamentals and make sure the skills we’ve previously learned are skill in tip top shape! We focus on pointed toes, straight knees, proper body position and strong arms. As we get more comfortable with skills, sometimes we forget the details. During this clinic, Coach Patrick will focus on those details to make sure your child perfects his/her tumbling. Pre-registration required.

Roundoff Clinic

During this clinic, the athletes will do different drills that will help them understand to pop through the shoulders and drive feet together to gain more power. They will learn different variations of round-offs, proper form, power, and confidence in the skill. We will go over the difference between a power hurdle and a step hop and how to do them correctly. Pre-registration required.

Strength & Conditioning Clinic

This is the perfect class to go over the fundamentals and make sure the skills we’ve previously learned are skill in tip top shape! We focus on pointed toes, straight knees, proper body position and strong arms. As we get more comfortable with skills, sometimes we forget the details. STEM Camp

Learn, expel energy and have fun all at the same time! Body movement has an amazing science behind it. During this camp, we’ll learn principles of science, technology, engineering and math – and how they relate to the body in motion! Our team of educators will use tumbling and ninja skills, crafts and games to combine a love for physical education and a love for STEM!

Olympic Gymnastics Camp

This Olympic-themed gymnastics camp will work skills on the uneven bars, balance beam, vault, and spring floor. Athletes will learn leaps and turns along with basic ballet skills used in floor routines. All skill levels are invited to participate. No experience is required.

Ultimate Dinosaur Camp

During the Ultimate Dinosaur Experience, we’ll climb ropes and warped walls, run through obstacles and hurdle over boulders. We’ll also learn about dinosaurs during our games and through a fun craft.

Toy Story & Tumble

Learn how to navigate through obstacles to save Forky! During this camp, we’ll practice obstacle course training, as well as play Toy Story inspired games and make our very own Forky!
